Julia and Kevin are kind, generous, and loyal; a fun loving couple that we are honored to know.  And their kids, they couldn’t be more adorable!  Reid is active, with an energetic imagination that makes you smile. And Aria is a girl after my own heart, contemplative and curious. Our time together was full of laughs, smiles, and beautiful faces and spirits.

Jocelyn, sweet pea!

Can I just say that I love Madison? Everything about it. Included in my top-reasons-I-love-Madison list is this place, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.  In a prime location on State Street, the museum hosts a variety of exhibitions and events year-around, like my husband and my summer of 2013 wedding!

  Another reason to love this place: I get to take pictures of adorable families here!  Jocelyn's parents bid on a photo session to support the Second Harvest Food Bank in Madison, and we decided that MMoCA would be the perfect place to take some pictures of her.  Jocelyn toddled around the museum looking adorable as ever in the cute outfits her mom picked out.  Jocelyn's grandmother even made the lacy bloomer she wore. It was clear how much Ryan and Carissa adore their one year old little peanut.   
It was a lovely afternoon with a wonderful family!

The Hoyt Family at the Tree Farm

Leave it to Wisconsin, it was sunny and warmish the whole week before this family's shoot.  The morning of, it was chilly and overcast, but the extended Hoyt family gathered with smiles and cozy winter clothes to play at a tree farm. Grandma and Grandpa held onto the babes, and we even had Whitney and Rob's pup join us for a few photos.  

This is a group of good, loving people, and I am grateful they have been so warm to me!

Cruz, the explorer.

These are the moments I want to capture.  The candid ones.  The everyday joy of kiddos, hunting through tall grasses + giggling under leaves.  Cruz is an explorer, often known as a superhero, + is usually busy taking his curls on exciting adventures.
